Direct Touch Heat Pipes

The Arctic Freezer i13 X has three heat pipes that directly touch the cpu surface, ensuring fast and even heat transfer. This reduces the thermal resistance and improves the cooling efficiency. The Freezer i13 X has a slim and lightweight heat sink that fits in most cases without blocking any RAM slots. It has 44 aluminium fins that provide a large surface area for heat dissipation.

Pre-Applied MX-2 Thermal Paste

The Freezer i13 X comes with Arctic’s own MX-2 thermal paste pre-applied on the base of the cooler, saving you time and hassle during installation. The MX-2 thermal paste has high thermal conductivity and low thermal resistance, enhancing the cooling performance of the cooler.

PWM-Controlled Fan

The Arctic Freezer i13 X comes with a 100 mm fan that is controlled by PWM (pulse-width modulation), which means it adjusts its speed according to the cpu temperature. The fan has a fluid dynamic bearing that reduces noise and extends its lifespan. The fan also has a pressure-optimised design that delivers high airflow and static pressure.

In addition to operating more quietly, even at maximum speed, the Freezer i13 X’s built-in fan motor is also much more efficient. The power consumption was reduced from 0.18 A to 0.07 A, which corresponds to an effective saving of 60 % in power consumption. ARCTIC engineers were also able to reduce the volume by 40 %, allowing the Freezer i13 X to run at a whisper-quiet 0.3 sone when at maximum speed.
