Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB)
Antec Storm 120 uses a FDB bearing that reduces friction and noise, and extends the lifespan of the fan up to 80,000 hours. This type of bearing is more durable and reliable than the common sleeve or ball bearings, and can operate in any orientation without affecting the performance.
Flow Concentration Design
The fan has a unique design that concentrates the airflow and increases the air pressure, delivering up to 66.56 CFM of airflow and 2.7 mmH2O of static pressure. This means that the fan can effectively cool down your components, especially those that have dense heatsinks or radiators, such as the CPU or GPU.
Spiral Fan Structure
The Antec Storm 120 has a spiral fan structure that enhances the cooling performance and reduces turbulence and noise, resulting in a quiet operation of 11.4 to 34.9 dB(A). The spiral shape of the fan blades creates a vortex effect that improves the airflow and pressure, while also minimising the vibration and noise.
Anti-vibration Pads
The fan has 8 anti-vibration pads that absorb the vibration and noise, and prevent the fan from sliding or scratching the case. The pads are made of soft rubber that can reduce the resonance and noise transmission, and also protect the fan and the case from damage.
PWM Technology
Another feature of the Antec Storm 120 case fan is the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology. This technology allows the fan to adjust its speed according to the temperature and load of the system, using a 4-pin connector that connects to the motherboard or a fan controller.
