Diablo IV (Xbox One & Series X)

Open World Structure

Diablo IV utilises an open world structure with five unique regions: Kehjistan, Scosglen, the Dry Steppes, the Fractured Peaks, and the swamplands of Hawezar. Each of these areas will be 10–20 times larger than even the largest areas in Diablo III, and will offer different ecologies, enemies, quests, and events. Players can travel between regions using mounts, which can also be customized and equipped with combat abilities. The open world will also feature dynamic weather and day/night cycles, which can affect the gameplay and the appearance of the world.

Visceral Combat and Loot

Diablo IV will deliver visceral combat, gruesome and varied monsters, an epic hunt for legendary loot, and endless playability and progression. Players can choose from five character classes: Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer, each with their own skills, talents, and playstyles. Diablo IV will also introduce three new attributes: Angelic, Demonic, and Ancestral Power, which will alter the duration and chance of effects being applied to another entity. Players can also customise their characters with different gear, runes, gems, and enchantments.

Skill Points and Talent Trees

Diablo IV will feature permanent character progression as well as personal customisation. To accomplish this, it will reintroduce both Skill Points and Talent Trees. Skill Points will be earned by leveling up as well as by hunting down rare tomes out in the world. Skill Points can be used to unlock and upgrade skills, which are the core abilities of each class. Talent Trees will provide passive bonuses and modifiers to the skills, allowing players to fine-tune their characters according to their preferences and playstyles.
