Three Modes in One
The Nintendo Switch comes with three different modes: TV mode, tabletop mode, and handheld mode. In TV mode, you can connect the console to your TV and play games on the big screen. In tabletop mode, you can prop up the console on a flat surface using the built-in kickstand and play games with the Joy-Con controllers. In handheld mode, you can detach the console from the dock and play games on the go using the touchscreen display or Joy-Con controllers.
TV Mode
The first is through your TV, just like an ordinary console, using the controllers to play alone or with friends on a range of top-class games that bear Nintendo’s tried and trusted seal of quality.
Tabletop Mode
The second mode lets you play tabletop. Just prop the console anywhere and use its built-in screen and detachable Joy-Con controllers to have fun on any flat surface, either at home or on the move.
Handheld Mode
The console comes with a 6.2-inch touchscreen display that can be detached from the dock and used as a handheld device. This means you can take your games with you wherever you go and play them on the go.
Stay Connected
Nintendo Switch helps players stay connected. Up to 8 consoles can be connected in a local wireless game. The player can place the console wherever he wants thanks to the built-in foot and then enjoy the multiplayer game away from the TV. The console also supports online multiplayer games like Splatoon 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Pokémon Sword / Shield and others (Nintendo Switch Online memberships). With a smartphone app, players can also voice chat while they play (in supported games).
Improved Battery Life
Approximately 4.5-9 hours. The battery life will depend on the games you play. For instance, the battery will last approximately 5.5 hours for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Joy-Con Controllers
Nintendo Switch comes with two Joy-Con controllers that can each act as a standalone controller with an analog stick, a full complement of face and shoulder buttons, built in motion-sensing technology and HD Rumble. They can be inserted into a Joy-Con grip accessory to be used like a traditional controller, held comfortably in each hand for independent left and right motion controls, or shared between two players for instant multiplayer gaming in front of the TV or out on the go.
Ample Storage Space
The Nintendo Switch 1.1 comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The console also features a USB-C port for charging and connecting to other devices. With ample storage space, you can store multiple games and apps on the console without worrying about running out of space.
