Studio MDHR is an independent video game developer that exists to surprise and delight players! Founded in Canada by brothers Chad and Jared Moldenhauer based on their shared love of retro arcade action and vintage cartoons, the studio released their flagship title Cuphead in 2017 for Xbox One and PC.

Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. What sets the game apart, aside from the fast twitch gameplay, is the way it takes faithful inspiration from cartoons of the 1930s. Everything from the visuals to the audio are meticulously created with the same techniques of the era, ranging form traditional hand-drawn cel animation and watercolor backgrounds to live orchestra jazz recordings.
