Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Story Trailer
In the world of gaming, anticipation is building for the release of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. This latest instalment in the Armored Core series promises to deliver an immersive and engaging storyline that captivates new and returning players.
Armored Core VI, as revealed in the recent YouTube trailer, is set in a dystopian future where humanity is on the brink of extinction. The game’s plot centres around the struggle for survival in a world dominated by mechanised warfare.
Armored Core VI takes place on the remote planet of Rubicon 3, a new location for the franchise where a “mysterious new substance” was discovered. This substance had the potential to drastically advance the technological capabilities of humanity. However, it also wreaked havoc on Rubicon 3, turning it into a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The fiery storms that spread through space and surround Rubicon 3 in the trailer are examples of this destruction, which has formed a “Burning Star System”.
The story picks up almost 50 years later, with various rebel groups and big corporate armies fighting to seize control of the destructive yet valuable resource. You’ll play as a mercenary, invading Rubicon as a solo agent to take the substance before others manage to take it for themselves.
Human Plus Returns
One of the most exciting revelations from the trailer and the articles is the return of the Human Plus abilities. These were a series of character upgrades that gave you extra abilities in the game, from things like inbuilt radar and improved energy refresh to laser blade waves and the all-important ability to fire back weapons while moving. These abilities were present for the first five Armored Core games and were then distilled into a special option part called OP-INTENSIFY for Armored Core 3 and Armored Core 3 Silent Line. They are back in Armored Core VI, at least in a narrative sense.
Armored Core VI: Fires Of Rubicon is a third-person action game in which you build and control a mech around fast-paced levels. You can use a mix of ranged and melee attacks to cause carnage as you leap and dart through arenas with incredible speed and ferocity. The game is known for its challenging battles and intense boss fights.
