Nintendo Direct at E3 2021: Game Release Line-up

Nintendo is set to hold its Nintendo Direct showcase at the 2021 E3 conference. This conference is expected to be an impressive one, with so many studios and gaming companies eager to announce what they’ve been working on through the pandemic. Nintendo will reportedly reveal crucial details on its Nintendo Switch games coming for the end of 2021 and onward. Nintendo will likely announce the smaller updates and projects they’ve got in store for fans alongside the big reveals.

Fortunately for everyone keen to hear every little bit of Nintendo news, a Nintendo Treehouse Live stream will immediately follow on from the E3 Direct live stream. So, if you’re a Nintendo die-hard, make sure you have the time to catch up with both of the official live streams and all of the reveals.

The E3 Nintendo Direct event will go live at 5 p.m. for us in the UK on Tuesday, June 15th, as announced by the company on their website. The presentation is slated to run for “roughly 40 minutes” and focus on the Nintendo Switch software “mostly releasing in 2021.” It’s interesting to note how in this announcement, Nintendo has failed to mention much about any hardware releases—like the rumoured Switch Pro.

The Treehouse Livestream will be the afterparty to Nintendo’s E3 event. The Treehouse show is going to be around three hours long, which gives viewers a good idea of how much more to expect from the after-show. In their announcement, Nintendo promised “deep dives into select games” with live gameplay in the Treehouse live stream.

The most anticipated aspect of the Direct event will be the game announcements. Nintendo have said they’ll be dishing the details on all of the biggest upcoming titles. Their currently confirmed lineup includes:

From the Store

Just prior to E3 2021, Nintendo will also release Game Builder Garage, a do-it-yourself game-making toolkit. It’s possible they’ll go into this more in the Treehouse Live to satiate everyone’s curiosity.

If you’re hoping to tune in to watch the E3 Nintendo Direct event itself, this year’s show will be totally digital. Hosted and presented entirely virtually, all events during the conference will be available to watch individually on various platforms and through the E3 official channels.

To watch the Nintendo E3 showcase specifically, you can tune in live on June 15th on the Nintendo E3 Youtube, the Nintendo E3 Twitch, and the official E3 app.

E3 2021 is also set to feature appearances from Xbox and Bethesda, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games, Gearbox Entertainment, Koch Media, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Xseed Games, Sega, Square Enix, Take-Two Interactive and plenty more.
