Activision has given us our first glimpse of the latest Call of Duty today and it’s very different. For the last few years, we’ve been subjected to more and more futuristic and, for some, less plausible and enjoyable version of Call of Duty. Today’s marks the end of the ever more distant era and we’re winding back to World War 2 for the first time since 2008.

At the moment, there’s not an awful lot of information but with the official reveal, we will bring you all the info you need to know as we learn more.

What we do know for now is the game’s description promises that players will be able to “play through the story of ordinary men turned soldiers in the 1st Infantry Division as they fight to preserve freedom in the face of tyranny.”

Call of Duty: WWII is available for pre-order now, which gives access to a private beta before the November 3rd release.

For now, sit back and enjoy the reveal trailer released today.
