Experience the nostalgic story from the Pokémon Diamond Version game in a reimagined adventure, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, now on the Nintendo Switch system!
Adventures in the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond game will take place in the familiar Sinnoh region. Rich in nature and with mighty Mount Coronet at its heart, Sinnoh is a land of many myths passed down through the ages. You’ll choose either Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup to be your first partner Pokémon and then set off on your journey to become the Champion of the Pokémon League. Along the way, you’ll run into the mysterious organization Team Galactic, and be able to encounter the Legendary Pokémon Dialga.
The Grand Underground
The Underground from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl has been powered up for these games, and is now called the Grand Underground. The Grand Underground is a vast subterranean world that spreads out like a maze beneath the entire Sinnoh region. Here, you can dig up valuable treasure and Pokémon Fossils, create your own Secret Base, and catch Pokémon in places called Pokémon Hideaways.
Walk with your favorite Pokémon
Choose a Pokémon that you’ve befriended during your journey to walk along behind you in the game. Depending on the Pokémon, you’ll see different gestures or ways of walking, and when you talk to your Pokémon, it will respond. You’ll also be able to add your own personal style! Choose a variety of outfits and coordinate tops and bottoms in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond. Some are based around Pokémon motifs and others change your hairstyle.
Super Contest Shows
Super Contest Shows are popular performances in Sinnoh, each put on by four performers and their Pokémon, who work together to show off their performance skills. During the show, you can dress up in your favorite outfit, and your Pokémon will dance, making for an altogether different experience from their usual battles of strength. Up to four people can participate together, so you can show off your best performance with your friends.
A faithful remake
The original story has been faithfully reproduced, and the sense of scale in the originals’ towns and routes has been carefully preserved. People who played Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl can revisit familiar places and relive familiar scenes once more in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond. For those setting out through Sinnoh for the first time, plenty of new encounters and surprises await.
